Sri Lanka has two thousand years of continuously recorded history, and this route walks you through the best of it. You climb Sigiriya at first light, explore the medieval capital at Polonnaruwa, stand under the painted ceilings of the Dambulla caves, and end in Kandy where the tradition is still very much alive rather than excavated.

Day 1
Airport → Colombo (Night 1)

Day 2
Colombo → Sigiriya (Night 1 of 2)

Sigiriya & Polonnaruwa (Night 2)
