Diving & Snorkelling
Coral gardens, colonial-era shipwrecks and reef sharks — on whichever coast is in season.
Sri Lanka dives on two opposing monsoons, which means there is always a good coast somewhere. Hikkaduwa has a shallow coral sanctuary you can reach from the beach and several accessible wrecks, including the SS Conch — one of the world's first oil tankers. Pigeon Island off Trincomalee has the clearest reef in the country and reliable blacktip reef sharks in waist-deep water. Kalpitiya has the Bar Reef, the largest coral system in Sri Lanka.
We work with PADI centres only. Certified divers can join guided two-tank trips; complete beginners can do a Discover Scuba session in a morning, and full Open Water certification takes three to four days.
